Welcome to the web site of the Indiana Dancers Association (IDA). Our purpose is to promote, sponsor, and provide for the cultural development and maintenance of high standards of square and round dancing. We assist in the formation of square and round dance clubs, cooperate with callers, cuers, civic and community organizations sponsoring square and round dance activities. We work to further friendly relations among our members and member clubs and encourage square and round dancing as a wholesome social recreation.

May starts the summer season of dancing. We have new dancers anxiously wanting to go dance, and experienced dancers wanting to get out and dance.
We need to make all dancers welcome at our dances. Remember, square dancing is friendship set to music. We are all square dancers and can dance anywhere across the country. So when you are vacationing, find a square dance and join in. I know you will be welcomed. We have done this and it is still the best evening of entertainment.
May also has the first of our three fundraisers, the Indy 500. Get signed up to work one or more of these fun filled events. When you sign up to work please fulfill your commitment, because extra help cannot be found at the last minute.
